Repairs set today for Willmar wind turbine

WILLMAR -- Repairs are slated to be made today to Willmar Municipal Utilities' north wind turbine after the turbine stopped turning Sunday due to a low oil indicator on the WinDrive, said Jon Folkedahl, supervisor of power production.

Folkedahl said that technicians from turbine manufacturer DeWind were sent to Willmar and should be able to make repairs and return the turbine to service today, said Folkedahl. The north turbine is one of two wind turbines owned and operated by the Willmar Utilities.
