Report: Adrian Peterson's son in critical condition

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson missed practice Thursday to deal with a medical issue involving a young family member, according to the Argus (S.D.) Leader.
Peterson was spotted in Sioux Falls on Thursday.
The Argus Leader reported that the health issue is "very serious" and "likely will be a police matter."
TMZ reported that it involves Peterson's 2-year-old son.
A Sioux Falls toddler is in critical condition with choking injuries after allegedly being assaulted by a man, according to the Argus Leader.
TMZ reported that Peterson's son was rushed to a hospital and medical experts determined the injuries were consistent with abuse.
According to police, emergency responders arrived at the apartment where Peterson's son lives at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday and found the child unresponsive.
Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, is being held without bail at the Minnehaha County Jail, charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery of an infant against his girlfriend's 2-year-old son.
