Ridgewater extends win streak to 7

COON RAPIDS -- Ridgewater remained undefeated in MCCC Southern Division action with a 30-24, 30-24, 30-20 win over Anoka-Ramsey Wednesday.

The win puts the Lady Warriors, ranked No. 2 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, one victory away from finishing the league season undefeated. Ridgewater is now 8-0 (21-5 overall) with Minnesota West coming to Willmar Oct. 19 in the finale.

Ridgewater coach Val Swanson used her entire bench in the match, highlighted by having 10 players with at least one kill for Ridgewater.

Kristen Raitz, a sophomore from Buffalo Lake, with 14. Five others had four kills each. Nine players served at least three times, with freshman Kassi Maurice (Danube) recording three ace serves.

Laura Suter, a freshman from Murdock, had 18 set assists and Maurice added 16. Katie Johnson, a freshman from Grove City, had two ace blocks and Brittany Haas, a freshman from Raymond chipped in 10 digs.
