The Lady Warriors shot 31 percent (24-for-78) from the floor and made just 2-of-19 three-point attempts.

"I knew coming into it that our shooting was going to be something we'd have to work on," said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl.

Hibbing held a 37-26 halftime lead, then expanded that to a 25-point margin in the second half.

"We were down by 25 at one point, but we put the press on at the end and made up some ground," Ogdahl said.

Sophomore Tara Thielke paced the Lady Warriors with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 10 steals and two blocked shots. She sank 8-of-11 free throws, which was half of the team's 16 makes. Danielle Goeman, also a sophomore, added 12 points, eight boards and five assists. Sophomore Patina Queenan made both of Ridgewater's three-pointers and finished with eight points, and freshman Alison Mason scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds.

The Lady Warriors will play host Mesabi Range at 2 p.m. today.
