Ridgewater gets commitments from six for softball team gets six commitments

WILLMAR -- Ridgewater College fastpitch coach Todd Thorstad announced the following commitments this week for the 2009-2010 season:

Sara Beyer: Morris, utility, .290 BA, .972 fielding percentage, can play catcher, infield or pitch; she is sister of former Ridgewater Warriors slugger Adam Beyer.

Nicole Blizil: Maple Lake, OF, All-Central Minnesota Conference, All-Section 5A, state participant on the Irish team that finished second in 2008 state tournament.

Brandi Bodin: MACCRAY, C, All-State, two-time All-Area, two-time All-Camden Conference; Camden Conference MVP in 2008.

Brooke Henderson: Pipestone, OF, All-Southwest Conference 2007 and 2008; twice All-Section 3AA; All-AA state tourney team 2007; three-time state tournament participant and playing on a state champion in 2007 and state runner-up in 2008.

Emily Roelike: Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, SS, .497 BA, 28 RBI in 2008; All-State and All-Area 2008, three time All-Central Minnesota Conference and CMC MVP in 2008

Kayla Rowden: Pipestone, C/IF; All-State, All-Section 3AA and All-Southwest Conference three times each; All-State Tournament Team 2007; like her teammate Henderson, she played on three Arrows teams that played at state and twice reached the title game.
