The 2013 Military Friendly School List places Ridgewater in the top 15 percent of post-secondary schools in the country when it comes to offering services to veterans and their spouses. The list is published in G.I. Jobs magazine, which is owned by Victory Media.

Schools on the list range from state universities and private colleges to community colleges and trade schools. The common bond is a shared priority of recruiting students with military experience, according to a news release from Victory Media.

"Pursuit of higher education is a common and important piece of the transition to civilian life for military personnel," Ridgewater President Dr. Douglas Allen said in a news release. "We are proud to have developed an environment that supports the educational success of our military veterans and proud to have once again been named to G.I. Jobs magazine's list of Military Friendly Schools."

The colleges, universities and trade schools on this year's list prioritize the recruitment of students with military experience. These schools are making the grade by offering scholarships and discounts, veterans' clubs, full-time staff, military credit and other services to those who served.

More information about the list is available at www.gijobs.com.
