Ridgewater routs West behind Sussenguth's 30

WORTHINGTON -- Casey Sussenguth poured in 30 points and Cory Nietfeld recorded a double-double as Ridgewater belted Minnesota West 93-73 in an MCAC junior college men's basketball game on Saturday.

Sussenguth connected on 12-of-16 shots from the field and 5-of-5 free throws. Nietfeld delivered 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Warriors improved to 8-4 in the Southern Division and 16-10 overall.

The Warriors will begin state tournament playoff action on Friday in Minneapolis.

Ridgewater led 46-39 at halftime and was never headed. The Warriors made 41-of-84 shots (49 percent) from the field while Minnesota West made only 38 percent.

Derek Eisenschenk also turned in a solid performance for Ridgewater with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. He made three of the Warriors' five 3-pointers. Ben Moser added 14 points and seven rebounds.

Stevie Statz had 19 points for Minnesota West.
