WORTHINGTON -- Ridgewater lost the opening game 25-22 against MCAC Southern Division rival Minnesota West Wednesday, but the Lady Warriors bounced back to win the next three games 25-17, 25-15, 25-10 and remain unbeaten on the season.

"We came out and played irresponsibly, not ready to play," said Ridgewater coach Joe Sussenguth. "Minnesota West does some things that we are not use to. They slowed things down, but they also have good blocks at the same time. It was nice the girls played more responsible as the match progressed."

Hannah Smith had 14 kills and 18 digs to spark the offensive and defensive attacks for the top-ranked Lady Warriors (6-0, 16-0). Macy McKay followed with 10 kills.

Molly Hurrle guided the Ridgewater offense with her 43 set assists and also served a team-high four aces. Smith added three ace serves.

Maggie Zirk supplied the Lady Warriors with seven kills and five ace blocks and Brandi Bodin picked up 16 digs.

The Lady Warriors are now off until Saturday when they will compete in the eight-team North Dakota State College of Science Invitational Saturday in Wahpeton, N.D.
