WILLMAR -- Weather permitting, work will begin Monday on Kandiyohi County Road 7. The project will begin one-half mile south of Kandiyohi County Road 14 and go to state Highway 7, according to the Kandiyohi County Public Works Department office.
The work will consist of removing bituminous pavement, grading operations and aggregate surfacing. Construction in 2008 is scheduled for 45 working days. The bituminous surfacing and aggregate shoulders will be constructed in 2009.
Through traffic northbound on Renville County Road 6 will be diverted east on Renville County Road 11, north on Renville County Road 21 and Kandiyohi County Road 1, then west on Highway 7 to Kandiyohi County Road 7.
Motorists are reminded to slow down for their safety and the safety of the workers as construction continues.
Duininck Bros. Inc. of Prinsburg is the prime contractor, and Thielen Construction Co. Inc. of Eden Valley is the grading contractor.
