WILLMAR — Roads are improving in Willmar and the region.

Most roads are rated in fair condition as plows have cleared many areas and temperatures have reached the upper 20s. There are still some icy patches, however, and reports of blowing and drifting snow, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s 511 road and traffic conditions website.

There are a couple stretches of highway still rated as difficult with packed snow on the roadway in southwestern Minnesota, and east of Willmar some roads are reported to be in good condition.

Scattered flurries are in the forecast today for Willmar, the National Weather Service says, but otherwise no precipitation is expected until Friday night and temperatures will continue to rise to near 30 Thursday and near 35 Friday.
