LAKE LILLIAN - Robert George Tusha, age 66, of Lake Lillian, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Copperleaf Senior Living Community in Willmar, Minnesota. He proudly coped with a decline in strength and health after an auto accident on December 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian. The Rev. Art Wiese will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery in Lake Lillian. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home in Lake Lillian.

Robert George Tusha was born on April 4, 1946, in Willmar, Minnesota to Louis and Phyllis (Johnson) Tusha. He grew up east of Lake Lillian and attended country school for a short time. He continued his education at Lake Lillian Elementary School and later in 1964, graduated from Cosmos High School. Robert was united in marriage to Karen Magoon on October 7, 1967, in Dassel, Minnesota. They later divorced. Robert worked as a foreman for over 30 years with Mid Central Steel Erectors of Blomkest, Minnesota. He was a member of the Local Union #512, International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Re-enforcing Iron Workers. He was a quiet, hard working man who loved to fix things and was always willing to help people in their time of need. Robert was fortunate to retire at age 55 and have years to enjoy his hobbies and spending more time with his family. In his spare time he loved spending time with his yellow lab, working on his hobby farm, restoring his treasured Fords, taking fishing trips with friends and winter ice fishing. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things for his friends, family and neighbors.

Survivors include his son and daughter: Stephen (and Connie) Tusha of Waconia, MN, Rochelle (and Mark) Peterson of Atwater, MN; his grandchildren: Katherine and Joseph Tusha, and Anna, Alyson, and Aubrey Peterson; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Nancy Schneider.
