BUFFALO - Rodney Milton Bjorlin, age 86, of Buffalo passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on May 4, 1926 in Duluth the son of Milton S. P. & Evelyn Olson Bjorlin.

Rodney honorably served his Country in The United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed on The US Eldorado in The South Pacific.

He graduated from U.S.C.

On December 21, 1963, Rodney M. Bjorlin and Eileen Elvehjem were joined in holy marriage in West Covina, California. God blessed their marriage with three sons.

Rod was employed in sales for many years.

Through the years, he was also a successful entrepreneur. In 1995, Rod retired and he and Eileen moved to a lake home on Scandinavian Lake in rural Glenwood.

He was currently a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo and formerly belonged to The West Lake Johanna Lutheran Church and to House of Hope Lutheran Church. Rod was a past member of The New Hope-Plymouth Athletic Association; a former member of The Terrace Sportsman’s Club and belonged to The Pope County Lake Association.

Survived by his loving wife of forty nine years: Eileen; sons: Brent Bjorlin of St. Michael, Lance (Elizabeth) Bjorlin of New Hope and Blake (Charity) Bjorlin of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren: Sydney Lindenfelser, twins: Marshall & Tucker Bjorlin; Max, Sienna & Sam Bjorlin and Hadley Bjorlin; a great grandchild: Harper; sisters: Lois (John) Swanson of Palm Desert, California and Donna (Carroll) Robinson of Spring Valley, California; a brother: Wes (Carolyn) Bjorlin of Idaho and a brother-in-law: John (Chung) Elvehjem of Wadena; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Doris Izzo and by a daughter-in-law: Cheryl Ann Kuehl-Bjorlin.

A Memorial service for Rodney Bjorlin will be held on Friday, April 12th at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Pastor Luke Schmidt will officiate.

A time of gathering will be held on Friday, April 12th one hour prior to services at the church.

Urn Bearers will be Rodney’s grandchildren.
