BENSON -- Ronald Clyde Olson, 63, of Benson, died Saturday at Swift County-Benson Hospital as a result of a farm accident.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in Benson. Burial will be in Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
He was born May 21, 1945, in Benson to Clyde and Agnes (Nelson) Olson. He grew up in Swenoda Township, Swift County, attended country school and graduated from Benson High School in 1963. He farmed in Swenoda Township for more than 45 years and worked for Abner Nelson Construction Co. and Case New Holland in Benson in the winter.
He was a member of Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ where he served on the board of trustees. He also served on the Swenoda Town Board for many years and was a member of the Putts & Purrs Antique Tractor Club.
He is survived by his special friend: Shar Jorgenson and family of Starbuck; and four sisters: Elaine Mitteness of Benson, Rosalie (and Gary) Minor of Plymouth, Patty Pederson of Maple Grove, and Kathy (and Gary) Svingen of Benson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
