No customers were inside at the time of the collapse.

Snow accumulation is believed to have caused the collapse at Wagner Hardware, according to a press release by Glenwood Police Chief Dale Danter.

The building appears to have suffered extensive damage, Danter stated in the release.

Pope County Dispatch received a 911 call about the incident at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The Glenwood police and fire departments, Pope County Sheriff's Office, Starbuck police and fire department, Villard firefighters, the state transportation department and Glacial Ridge Ambulance all responded to the scene.

Neighboring buildings were undamaged by the collapse.
