MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Eric Hosmer hit two of Kansas City’s season-high four home runs, James Shields pitched six strong innings to win for first time in 11 starts and the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 9-3 on Friday night.

Billy Butler and Mike Moustakas also homered for the Royals.
