Running: Seifert, Rohne first at Hotdish 5K

WILLMAR — Thomas Seifert, 17, of Willmar led the field of 55 runners Saturday in the 3rd annual Hotdish Hunger 5K Run at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church.


 Seifert winning time of 17:40 was followed by Brian Bonnema, Prinsburg, at 20:00.

Bri Rohne, St. Paul, led women runners finishing in 20:23, more than five minutes faster than her winning time of 25:26 in the 2011 inaugural event. McKenna Swenson, Willmar, followed close behind with a time of 21:29.

Eight took part in the 1-mile walk. Proceeds go to local food shelfs and Lutheran World Hunger.
