Ruth Bueide Dec. 17, 1910 - March 3, 2009
WILLMAR -- Ruth Bueide, 98, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Willmar, died Tuesday at The Monarch in Lincoln.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to service at the church.
She was born Dec. 17, 1910, in Carpio, N.D., to John and Elisa (Haaland) Haaland. She grew up and graduated from Carpio High School in 1929. She attended Minot State Teachers College, receiving her teacher's certificate in 1930. She taught in rural schools in North Dakota for the next six years.
She married P. K. Lawrence Bueide on July 13, 1939, in Carpio. They lived in Fergus Falls, Luverne, Willmar and Frost. In 1970, she passed the test to become a licensed practical nurse after studying her daughter's textbooks and worked in nursing for 15 years before retiring in 1985. She lived in Willmar until 2005 when she moved to Lincoln, Neb. At the church she attended, she taught Sunday school, worked as the custodian, was a Bible study leader, helped with Meals on Wheels and the Stephen's Ministry,
She is survived by children: Paul (and Marsha) Bueide of Scottsbluff, Neb., Katherine (and Tom) Renstrom of Montgomery, N.Y., Elsa (and David) Larson of Lincoln, Neb.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and her brother: John (and Chris) Haaland of Albuquerque, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; two sons: Harold and Daniel; five brothers; and one sister.
