Sacred Heart, Minn., man hurt in dirt bike crash: airlifted to HCMC

SACRED HEART -- A 45-year-old rural Sacred Heart man was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained late Saturday afternoon in a dirt bike accident southwest of Sacred Heart.

According to a news release from Renville County Sheriff Scott Hable, Chad M. Carson was found unconscious just before 6 p.m. Saturday by a relative after losing control of his dirt bike on an unmarked trail on private property.

Carson later regained consciousness and was taken by ambulance to Granite Falls Hospital, and then sent on to HCMC in Minneapolis. He was wearing protective head gear.

Agencies that assisted were the Sacred Heart Injury Response Team, Sacred Heart Police Department and Granite Falls Ambulance Service. The Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
