WILLMAR -- Sadie Ryks, 95, of Willmar, died Monday at her home.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bunde Christian Reformed Church near Clara City. Burial will be in Emden Christian Reformed Cemetery near Renville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
She was born July 9, 1913, in Rheiderland Township, Chippewa County, to Albert and Annie (Swyter) Fuls. She grew up in the rural Clara City area and attended country school.
She married Theodore "Ted" Ryks on Feb. 20, 1935, in rural Renville. They lived and farmed in Ericson Township in Renville County for 60 years. She moved to Prairie Park Place in Clara City in 1995 after Ted's death, and she later moved to West View Village in Willmar.
She was a former member of Emden Christian Reformed Church and a current member of Bunde Christian Reformed Church, where she was active with the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Homemaker's Group.
She is survived by two daughters: Betty (and Eldon) Bonnema and Marge (and Lyn) Rambow, both of Willmar; a son: David (and Nancy) Ryks of Roanoke, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and four sisters: Alice Damhof of Willmar, Elma Jane (and Mally) Smith of Roseville, Johanna (and Adrian) Bouma of Edgerton and Helen (and Alvin) Brouwer.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, an infant son, three brothers and one sister.
