Salvation Army donations being doubled
ROSEVILLE — Today and Saturday, all donations made to The Salvation Army in Minnesota will be doubled.
“The message is clear — any gift you give to The Salvation Army for two days will do double the good,” said Lt. Col. Robert Thomson, Salvation Army commander for Minnesota and North Dakota, in the release. “Across the region donations are down 20 to 30 percent, but an outpouring of generosity now can turn things around in every county of both states. That means more lives will be impacted — Salvation Army services are vital to support those in need.”
To make a donation in the next two days, people can:
- Give at any Salvation Army kettle
- Call 800-725-2769
- Stop by any Salvation Army and drop off a check dated for Dec. 20 or 21. In Willmar, The Salvation Army is located at 521 Fourth St. S.W.
- Give online at SalvationArmyNorth.org
Kettle donors are also encouraged to take a photo making the peace sign and post it on social media using the hashtag #double.
