The scam of selling nothing

Email

The president's new budget will attempt to thrust upon us the biggest scam since the dot-com boom: the sale of nothing. This initiative will drive our utility bills considerably higher and eventually collapse on its own hollowness.

I am speaking of the bad proposal called "cap and trade." This boondoggle will try to get companies to pollute less by selling and buying pollution credits -- the sale of nothing. This pie-in-the-sky effort will inflate with hot air, until it springs a leak and deflates. This will leave "traders" in the same spot as the last "sale of nothing," the dot-com boom.

This won't just affect the fools who invest in this scam, but will drive up the price of utilities many people are already straining their budget to pay.
