Schools closed, difficult travel in west central Minn.

WILLMAR - Willmar Public Schools and Ridgewater College are closed today, as are most schools in west central Minnesota.

Light snow is still falling in Willmar and the region, and travel is difficult as some highways have yet to be plowed.

The National Weather Service is reporting 4.5 inches of snow in Willmar and 6 inches in Litchfield. A report from Redwood Falls shows 1.7 inches.
