Scott D. Arends May 10, 1972 - July 24, 2009
MONTEVIDEO -- Scott David Arends, 37, of Montevideo, died Friday at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis from injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident.
The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo and one hour prior to the service at church.
He was born May 10, 1972, in Montevideo, to Dennis and Gloria (Winters) Arends. He attended Montevideo Public Schools. He worked for 13 years as a mechanic with Steve's Equipment in Montevideo and for the past eight years on the night maintenance crew at Jennie-O processing in Montevideo. He was also an official at the Fiesta Speedway race track.
He is survived by his daughters: Daytona and Abigale Arends, both of Maynard; siblings: Randy (and Jodi) Arends of Madison and Daniella (and Matt) Schroeder of Montevideo; and his fiancé: Mickie Miller of Montevideo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
