SD couple sustains minor injuries in Highway 212 crash

DAWSON -- A Rapid City, S.D. couple sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash around 2:30 p.m. Monday along U.S. Highway 212 near Dawson.

According to the State Patrol, George A. Black, 70, was driving a 2004 Buick Rendezvous westbound on the highway and lost control when the vehicle hit large finger drifts. The vehicle spun around and was struck by a 2008 Peterbilt driven by Patrick A. McNamara, 44, of Arlington, S.D.

Black and a passenger, Carol A. Black, 69, also of Rapid City, were taken to Dawson Hospital. McNamara was not injured.

The Lac qui Parle Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene of the crash, which was east of Dawson near the Baxter Church.
