OLIVIA -- Investigators from Renville, McLeod, Meeker and Kandiyohi counties are still searching for a suspect in a string of motor vehicle thefts in and around Renville County.
The search for Matthew James Wrobleski, 37, of Willmar began Tuesday after the theft of an ATV in rural Cosmos.
Scott Hable, Renville County Sheriff, reported today that the Yahama four-wheeler was recovered Thursday southeast of Cosmos in Renville County.
Also on Thursday, a stolen 30-foot camper-trailer was recovered northeast of Cosmos in Meeker County. It was found parked inside a shed at an abandoned farm site, authorities said.
Investigators believe Wrobleski may still be driving a stolen red 2009 Ford pickup, a four-door model with rear doors that swing opposite to the front doors. Authorities said the truck has tan coloring on the bottom and over the wheels and may be missing the passenger-side mirror.
When the pickup was stolen, it had Minnesota license plate 062-AMV. Investigators believe it's possible that the plate has been altered or removed, however.
The Renville County Sheriff's Office said Wrobleski is about 6 feet tall, weights between 200 and 220 pounds and has a stocky build. He has short brown hair and may be either clean-shaven or have a short beard or goatee.
A reward is being offered through Renville County Crime Stoppers for information leading to Wrobleski's arrest. Anyone with information about his whereabouts or the current location of the stolen red pickup is urged to contact the Renville County Sheriff's Office at 320-523-1161.
