A volunteer firefighter, using a snowmobile, located her at about 12:35 p.m. in a wetland area half a mile west of the Kandiyohi and Chippewa county line.

She was alive and conscious but suffering from hypothermia. Rescuers used a snowmobile rescue sled to transport her to a waiting ambulance. She was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Information on her medical condition was not available yet.

The woman had last been seen walking north from downtown Raymond. Neighbors said she normally went for a daily walk, using a route north and west of Raymond.

Several Raymond residents organized a snowmobile search and contacted the sheriff's office. Sheriff's deputies, Raymond firefighters and the Raymond Ambulance Service also joined the search, which lasted for about two hours.
