Secretary: All safe in New Prague, Minn., school lockdown

NEW PRAGUE, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota middle school secretary says all students and staff are safe in a lockdown at the school.

New Prague Middle School executive assistant Lana Knoke tells The Associated Press that the lockdown that began Wednesday morning continues. She says police are still checking the school.

Knoke says students remain in locked classrooms.

New Prague is about 45 miles southwest of Minneapolis. The middle school has about 875 students in grades 6-8.
