Sentencing date set for Edinburgh

WILLMAR -- The sentencing date for Miles David Edinburgh has been set for Dec. 2 in Kandiyohi County District Court.

Edinburgh, 19, of Willmar, was found guilty last Thursday of second-degree murder for the July 2008 stabbing death of Adam Kenneth Milton. A jury of seven men and five women found the young man guilty of the original charge of second-degree intentional murder and a lesser included charge of second degree felony murder. Milton, 21, was pronounced dead in the Rice Memorial Hospital emergency room about one hour after emergency medical and police officers were called to the Evergreen Ridge Apartments along the 1300 block of 24th Street Northwest. He was a Ridgewater College student who also played football for the college team.
