Sept. 28, 2009: Paynesville man found dead in water, autopsy ordered

PAYNESVILLE -- An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death of an 83-year-old Paynesville man found dead Saturday afternoon at his home on Lake Koronis.

According to a news release from Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin, his office received a report around 12:30 p.m. Saturday of a deceased male located at 53182 397th Street, Paynesville.

The sheriff's office and the county coroner responded to find Ralph Leander Boldt, 83, dead in the water near the shoreline of his property.

There was evidence that Boldt was performing yard work near the shoreline. The release notes that, at this time, his death does appear to be accidental.
