Sheriff, coalition hand out window clings to encourage seat belts in Kandiyohi County, Minn.

WILLMAR -- Drivers interested in promoting safe driving can get a window cling at several Kandiyohi County service stations, thanks to the Kandiyohi County Safe Community Coalition.

Sheriff Dan Hartog and Stephanie Felt, members of the coalition, visited some of the oil change and service stations within the county on Wednesday to distribute the window clings.

"There are four things that can save your life while operating a vehicle: buckle up, drive sober, pay attention and drive at safe speeds," says Hartog. "We're stepping up seat belt enforcement for May 'Click It or Ticket.' But the best enforcement is you. Insist that everyone buckles up - every time."

"We're delivering static window clings to businesses who can place them in vehicles as they are repaired," says Felt. "It's a great way for local communities to get involved and help save lives."

The window clings are available at Warren's Amoco, Neil Motors, Merle's Repair, LeRoy's Collision Repair, Jeff's Body Shop, Walt's In and Out Oil Change, Valvoline Instant Oil Change, Town and Country Tire and Hansen's Tire and Auto.

If you offer auto service or repair and would like to participate, contact stephaniefelt@hotmail.com.
