Sheriffs warn of bad ice at LqPV Lake

The Chippewa and Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's offices are advising fisherman to use extreme caution if they plan to go on the ice of Lac qui Parle Lake.

Numerous holes have opened in the ice due to warm weather. The conditions are expected to deteriorate until several days of continuous freezing. Only limited use of the lake is recommended.

Caution signs have been placed at public access points.
