MARSHALL -- Sidney Otto Sell, 68, of Marshall, died Wednesday at the Minneota Manor.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens in Montevideo.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Prairie Home Hospice in Marshall.

He was born Dec. 29, 1939, to William and Dora (Holtkamp) Sell. He graduated from Clara City High School. After graduation, he worked for Haats Hardware in Echo for several years. He served in the National Guard from 1958 to 1966.

He married Marilyn Hanson. They lived in Marshall, and he worked for McLaughlin & Schultz Inc. as a foreman for several years. He retired in 1999 after developing health issues. He entered the Minneota Manor on July 10.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his former wife: Marilyn of Marshall; daughter: Jennifer (and Steve) Minett of Balaton; two grandchildren; sisters: Muriel Haats of Clara City, Mavis Daggett of Windom and Myrtle (and Dick) Haats of Montevideo; and a brother: Stanley (and Dianne) of Clara City.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.
