WILLMAR -- Emergency personnel responded to a single-car accident along Willmar Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday. One person was injured in the accident, which involved the vehicle leaving the road and hitting a tree at 904 Willmar Ave. S.E.

As rescue personnel worked to remove the woman from the vehicle, an officer at the scene said, "at this point, we are going under the assumption she fell asleep at the wheel."

Personnel from the Willmar fire and police departments, and rescue and ambulance personnel responded to the scene. No further information is available at this time.
