Six Willmar teams playing Thursday

A plethora of Willmar sports teams will be in action Thursday, with Sauk Rapids popping up on several of the schedules.

The Cardinals girls basketball team plays a Central Lakes Conference game at Sauk Rapids at 7:30 p.m.

The Willmar gymnastics team and the Cardinals' swimming and diving team also will be competing against Sauk Rapids in Central Lakes competition. The gymnastics team plays host to the Storm at 6:30 p.m. while the swimming and diving team will entertain Sauk Rapids at the high school beginning at 6 p.m.

The Willmar boys hockey team will travel to play Sauk Rapids at 7 p.m. Taking a break from the Sauk Rapids theme, the Cardinals girls hockey team plays Mankato West at 7 p.m. at Cardinal Arena.

And the Willmar wrestling team will be host to the Willmar Triangular, with Buffalo and St. Cloud Tech, beginning at 5 p.m.
