Slagter leads Northwestern in UMAC playoffs

Northwestern College junior setter Hillary Slagter, a Prinsburg native, led the Eagles to the UMAC regular season title last week and a first-round win in the conference playoffs Tuesday.

Slagter had 51 assists in two matches last week as the Eagles captured their second straight UMAC crown.

Tuesday, the Eagles topped Martin Luther College, 3-0. Slagter recorded 15 set assists and eight kills.
