Slinden -- Thissen
Ashley Slinden and Jay Thissen are engaged to be married Aug. 9 at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.

Slinden is the daughter of John and Carol Slinden of Grove City.
She is a graduate of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School in Grove City, earned a degree in social work from Bemidji State University and earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Thissen is the son of Ben and Marla Thissen of Litchfield.
He is a graduate of Litchfield High School and earned a degree in agricultural business from the University of Minnesota. He is employed as a loan officer by AgStar Financial Services in St. Cloud.
