Smith's Eagles reach Class AA boys hockey final

The Eden Prairie Eagles scored four unanswered goals to overcome Blaine 4-2 and reach tonight's Class AA boys hockey final at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

It was the 299th career win for coach Lee Smith, a 1984 Willmar graduate. Blaine (25-4-1), coached by 1987 Willmar alumni Dave Aus, will play for third.

The Eagles (27-3) will meet Cretin-Derham Hall today in the final.
