The National Weather Service in Chanhassen says snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches should be expected today, with the snow tapering off from west to east during the afternoon.

In far southern Minnesota, a winter weather advisory has been posted where the best chances of 4 inches or greater of snowfall accumulation exists.

A storm system that will bring a mix of freezing rain and snow is expected Sunday, but it is too soon to determine snowfall amounts, the Weather Service says.
