Softball: KMS takes pair from RCW

MURDOCK -- Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg thumped Renville County West twice Tuesday, winning 11-0 and 14-2 in a Camden Conference doubleheader.

Brianne Riley threw a three-hit shutout in the opener as the Saints scored eight in the sixth.

The Saints pounded out 11 hits in the second game with Dot Saulsbury and Jasmine Bredeson each going 3-for-3.

Patina Queenen doubled and singled and drove in two runs and Kelsie Jeseritz was 2-for-2. Riley walked one and fanned four.

Amanda Kraft singled in Tierra Hansen in the third to cap consecutive four-run innings for LQPV.

Betsy Zacharias tamed the Warriors on three hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Both runs were unearned.
