Love Out Loud, a Minneapolis-based five-piece rock band opened up the festival in good fashion Wednesday night giving the crowd pumped up with original songs and the classic, "Walking on Sunshine," made famous by Katrina and the Waves.

Another five-piece followed with an acoustic set.

Family Force Five gave the festival a southern flare with their Atlanta music. The group not only brought their music, but their names: Solomon Jerome Olds (Soul Glow Activatur), Jacob Olds (Crouton), Joshua Olds (Fatty), Nathan Currin (Nadaddy) and Derek Mount (Chap Stique).

The band shared a juicy watermelon with the crowd as well cutting up pieces and throwing them into the crowd.

Lecrae, a Chrisitan hip hop artist, added a solid beat for an hour adding in his testimonials and giving thanks and prayer.

To wrap the night up, Switchfoot hit the stage with old and new music closing the show with their hit "I Dare You to Move,"

For the first night, once the vehicles cleared the Willmar Civic Center, many hopped into their tents ready for bed or hiding from the ever so popular state bird, the mosquito.
