Spring crop meeting rescheduled for Wednesday morning

WILLMAR -- Due to the weather, the spring "tune-up" for area crop producers has been rescheduled for Wednesday at Ridgewater College in Willmar.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and there is a $5 registration fee to cover the meeting proceedings and refreshments. This update is designed to provide producers with the latest in applied crop research results. Ag students will attend as part of their class programming.

University of Minnesota faculty from the Southwest Research and Outreach Center at Lamberton and regional extension educators will present the following topics: corn rootworm refuge management, fungicide research results in corn and soybeans and soybean cyst management, by Bruce Potter; corn/soybean weed control options and glyphosate weed resistance management by David Nicolai; "ground-rolling" for soybean production and starter fertilizer update for corn production by Jodi DeJong Hughes.
