St. Benedict JV clips Lady Warriors

ST. JOSEPH -- The Ridgewater women's basketball team was held to under 20 points in the first half and lost to the St. Benedict's JV team 78-55 Tuesday.

The Lady Warriors (2-6) trailed 38-19 at halftime.

Alisha Schuerman led Ridgewater with 13 points. Brittney Glisczinski added nine. Kari Caspers and Alison Mason grabbed six rebounds each. Chelsea Voorhees and Tara Thielke collected five rebounds each.

Thielke also piled up five steals and four assists.

Former Buffalo Lake-Hector player Emily Kubesh had eight points for St. Benedict.

Ridgewater shot only 36 percent from the field, including 0-for-10 from three-point range.

The Lady Warriors host Fond Du Lac on Friday at 6 p.m.
