St. Cloud State's Witt named Division II All-Star
ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State University senior captain Taylor Witt of Morris, was selected to play in Reese's Division II College Basketball All-Star Game in Springfield, Mass.
Witt, who was was named to the West Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, averaged 20.1 points per game this season for the Huskies.
Witt and the West team will take on the East squad at 6 p.m. Friday at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
He is a three-time all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference first team selection in his career. He is only the second St. Cloud State player to be named to the All-Star game after David Dreas was picked in 2008. Witt was also named to the NABC all-Central District first team for the second straight year.
He played in more games (123) than any player in SCSU history and is fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,770 points and also fourth with 484 assists.
