St. Paul man injured in cycle wreck with deer

MAYNARD -- A 39-year-old St. Paul man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a Saturday motorcycle versus deer accident.

According to the Renville County Sheriff's Office, Todd Michael Pederson was driving a Honda Roadstar and struck the deer around 8 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of County Road 37 and 880th Avenue, three miles south of Maynard.

He was transported by the Clara City ambulance to an area hospital, not disclosed in the crash report, and then airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for surgery.
