SUNBURG - Stanley Forsman, 93, of Sunburg died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Miriam Manor in Sunburg. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Monson Lake Lutheran Church, rural Sunburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post #167 of Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar,

Stanley was born on April 16, 1919, in Cokato, Minnesota the son of August and Annie (Dahl) Forsman. He grew up in the Cokato and Litchfield areas where he attended country school while living on different farms with his family.

He was drafted into the United States Army during WW II and upon his discharge, Stanley returned to the farm. For the past 50-60 years, Stanley farmed with his two brothers near Sunburg. He was a member of Monson Lake Lutheran Church, rural Sunburg.

Stanley enjoyed all the time spent farming, enjoyed working as a mechanic as well as tinkering with different things in his shop. He loved spending time with friends and family and was a good carpenter, a great cook, and liked listening to polka music. He also loved all the dogs that he “adopted” and had on the farm.

Surviving are his sister, Marian Burgeson of Texas; eight nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Roy, Harry and Mildred.
