WILLMAR - Stanley R. "Stan" Lush, 66, of Willmar, died Friday, March 8th at Rice Care Center in Willmar. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 13th at Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post #167 of Willmar. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Stan was born in Willmar, Minnesota, on September 13, 1946, the son of Harold and Evonna (Olson) Lush. He grew up in Raymond where he graduated from high school in 1966. Following graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, serving in Vietnam until 1969. Shortly after returning from the war, Stan started working for Duininck Incorporated as a heavy equipment operator. On April 28, 1973, he was united in marriage to Marianna Duchene at Church of St. Mary. He continued to work for Duininck and retired in 2011 after 42 years as a dedicated employee.

He was a member of Church of St. Mary in Willmar where he was baptized and confirmed.

If there was time to hunt, whether gophers, coyotes, pheasants or deer, Stan was ready and willing to go. He cherished all the time that he spent with his nieces and nephews, teaching many of them love for the outdoors including hunting and waterskiing. Anytime Stan went somewhere you always had to plan on him stopping and visiting with whomever he came in contact with, whether friends or strangers.

Surviving are his wife, Marianna; siblings, Fern (and John) Tradup of Willmar; Ronald Lush of Raymond; Roger (and Karen) Lush of Pennock; Douglas Lush of Raymond and Evelyn (and Dallas) Leff of LeRoy and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
