State, federal agents serve search warrants in Litchfield
LITCHFIELD -- Law enforcement officers from local, state and federal agencies executed three search warrants and made multiple arrests around 7 a.m. this morning in Litchfield.
According to a news release from Litchfield Police Chief Patrick Fank, his department assisted agents from the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms serve the warrants on 426 North Ramsey Ave., 731 East First Street and 24 West Weisel in Litchfield.
The search warrants were part of an ongoing investigation for the trafficking of illegal drugs. The operation seized an undetermined amount of methamphetamine and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. Several adults were arrested at the scene and are in custody pending formal charges. The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
