State Patrol investigating injury crash south of Litchfield
LITCHFIELD — The State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash reported around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday south of Litchfield.
According to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, the crash was reported via 911 call and deputies, the State Patrol, Cross Ambulance and Litchfield rescue and fire crews were dispatched to the intersection of State Highway 22 and 230th Street, Litchfield Township.
Richard Boyer, 78, of rural Litchfield, was driving a 1991 Ford F-150, owned by the City of Litchfield, southbound on State Highway 22 and attempted to make a right turn onto 230th Street. Rita Ninneman, 62, of Prinsburg, was driving a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country van and attempted to pass Boyer on the right side of the road, and their vehicles collided.
Boyer was transported by ambulance to the Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
