State roads closed and plows pulled off Kandiyohi County roads

WILLMAR – All state highways in the Willmar and Kandiyohi County area have been closed and Kandiyohi County plows have been pulled off the road.

According to the Kandiyohi County most highways are lighted or marked as closed. No indicators are present on state Highway 71 North or state Highway 23 East, however these highways are closed.

There is no travel advised in Willmar and Kandiyohi County area.

Plows are being pulled from the roads and won’t be returning until 5 a.m. tomorrow.

Highway ramps in the county are impassable, according to Kandiyohi County Deputy Todd Neumann, with many vehicles stuck on the ramps.

Travel conditions are very poor and roads are in hazardous driving condition, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
