Steinhaus named top wrestler in Big Ten

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg graduate Kevin Steinhaus was named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week Tuesday after the redshirt freshman led the No. 3 University of Minnesota to three wins last week.

Steinhaus, ranked ninth in the country at 184 pounds, collected two major decisions on Sunday and a decision on Thursday en route to improving to 14-2 on the year.

Joel Bauman, a freshman from KMS, is also competing at 184 pounds for the Gophers this season. He has a record of 7-4 record in two open tournaments this season.
